Exciting news for conservatory and outdoor furniture lovers, The Chaise Longue Co are absolutely delighted to announce that the brand-new collection of Inside/Outside fabrics by Wemyss is now available on our website. This brilliant new collection has been created using FibreGuard Outdoor protective fabric, which incorporates exciting new features to the already trusted FibreGuard finish along with UV protection.
FibreGuard Outdoor is a high performance and fade resistant fabric material which has been expertly developed for both indoor and outdoor use. The brand-new exciting additions to this range include an easy to clean surface, water repellence, stain resistance, high durability and odour resistance. All this makes this new range absolutely perfect for chaise longues and sofas in a conservatory or exposed to the elements.
The unique properties of this new range ensure that stains are easily removable and that dirt is simple to clean off, resulting in your fabrics maintaining their fresh and new appearance. This along with anti-microbial and anti-bacterial attributes which combat the growth of mould means you can rest assured knowing you are protected against germs and bacteria.
Lasting years without losing their unique traits, this new collection has also been manufactured for unbeatable fade protection, taking exposure to the sun’s rays in their stride. The range is made from solution dyed yarns which have excellent UV and weather resistant properties, making these new fabrics perfect for both outdoor living and even relaxing in your conservatory. This means that no matter what you plan on using your new chaise for, whether it be lounging in the sun or hosting social gatherings, you can feel confident that your upholstered furniture can handle anything that comes its way.

You may remember our blog post a few months ago in which we mentioned our aims to become eco-friendlier and more sustainable. This started with our push towards sustainable wood for our solid hard-wood frames and we even offer many recycled leather options which you to choose from. Well, good news! Our long-term fabric suppliers Clarke & Clarke now produce a new sustainable ECO range of fabrics and when we heard about this, it’s safe to say that we jumped at the opportunity to provide these as options for our bespoke pieces!
The new ECO collection poses an elegant answer to the question “How can fashionable interiors be sustainable?”. Each fabric is manufactured entirely from recycled plastic bottles, with each and every metre of fabric produced saves 90 plastic bottles from ending up in a land fill. ECO speaks to both the style-conscious and environmentally-conscious customer, with a multitude of designs from the classic herringbone to fresh geometrics. If you were to choose a fabric from the ECO collection for your new extra-large chaise longue, you could be helping to save around 630 bottles from the landfill. The best part is you wouldn’t even know! Each fabric feels and looks just as luxurious as every other Clarke & Clarke piece does and lasts just as long too. Isn’t that amazing?
So, if you’ve been looking for ways to be more sustainable recently, this is a really big opportunity. Head to our website and start browsing our new ECO options for your new bespoke chaise, sofa or chair today.

Have your chaise longue handmade in Fernando, Vibe or Zazu which all incorporate these geometrics, showcasing statement hexagons, diamonds and zig zags. Mixing all three designs offers an on-trend, maximalist look, especially when paired with statement feature walls.
It’s not just bold patterns that make an impact; the collection comes in an energetic colour spectrum, with colourways such as Firecracker, Vivacious, Limoncello and Picante, all perfect for bringing a colourful start to the New Year.
Since its foundation by Trevor Helliwell in 1988, Prestigious Textiles has earned an outstanding reputation for the originality and quality of its furnishing fabrics and wallpapers.
Today, Prestigious is an international operation, with a network of stockists and trading partners throughout Europe, China and South Africa ensuring the PT brand is strong around the world.
Group headquarters is an impressive 75,000 ft2 complex in West Yorkshire. One of the largest facilities of its type in Europe, the distribution centre is a busy place, able to hold some five million metres of fabric in stock and with a monthly capacity of 500,000 metres or more. A dedicated sampling unit provides vital support whilst a separate division serves the wallpaper sector.
Now, as ever, new collections are developed all year round, with the company’s experienced design team constantly exploring fresh directions in concepts and colour.
Such a rolling creative programme ensures that the prestigious portfolio stays both wide-ranging and trend-leading. Yet, after three decades, this family-run business also continues to demonstrate that quality and flair never go out of fashion.
