The Opulent Tepsi Damak Chaise Longue

In our 82nd edition of “Chaise of the Week,” we unveil the epitome of opulence with this magnificent Antique-style Large Chaise Lounge, adorned in Tepsi Damask in Amethyst by Zoffany. Embellished with antique stud detailing and dark oak cabriole legs, this purple velvet chaise longue would assert its presence in almost any interior.

Tepsi, envisioned by Zoffany, is an elaborate, figured velvet, intricately woven with a viscose pile on a flat ground and cross-dyed to yield a sumptuous, two-toned effect. The velvet is accentuated in a darker hue of the base fabric. The medium-scale design, featuring a scrolling oval damask motif, is reminiscent of the styles frequently employed by Fortuny in his creations.
