COVID-19 FAQ's

  • As some of our staff were required to take 3 weeks isolation due to Covid-19 we took the decision to close our factory and offices for the month of April. Our team is available via Live Chat on the website, via email to [email protected] and telephone 01482 222 306

  • We are keeping a close eye on the situation, and this decision will be based on any updates from the Government and Public Health England. We are looking to use a single upholsterer in May to continue with limited production whilst still maintaining social distancing guidelines.

  • Yes. From May 4th our dedicated factory and Delivery teams will continue to operate under limited conditions. We have extended our Delivery lead time and the majority of Products will be delivered in 6-8 weeks. Due to delays at some fabric mills, some fabrics will be available in up to 12 weeks. We'll continue to monitor the rapidly changing situation closely and respond accordingly.

  • We know you are really keen to receive your new furniture order, but following the latest advice from Government and Public Health England regarding non-essential travel and services, we have temporarily had to suspend all Deliveries for the month of April. After this time and, following the latest advice, Deliveries will recommence under limited conditions. Your patience is sincerely appreciated.

  • The chaise longue Co is currently able to offer doorstep Delivery services for our furniture. We are aware that you have bought your beautiful bespoke furniture and that it is in our factory ready for Delivery. Whilst we are keen to get the furniture to you, we must prioritise taking care of our customers’ and staffs’ health at this challenging time of social distancing.

    With this in mind we have laid out some additional Delivery Terms and conditions for you to consider and agree to before the Delivery is booked. Please let us know if you would like this ‘doorstep’ type of Delivery.

    You will be sent the below doorstep Delivery Terms and conditions via email post purchase to agree to:

    1. The chaise longue Company is only able to deliver to your doorstep or garage.
    2. For flats and apartments, we'll place items in the communal hallway or doorway.
    3. We are unable to unpack your furniture and recycle the packaging.
    4. A two-metre social distance rule will be applied at all times.
    5. We are unable to take away your old sofa.
    6. The customer will be responsible for moving the furniture into the room of choice. We can assist by telephone or video call, to help discuss the best way to do this before the Delivery.
    7. You will be responsible for any damage to your property if you choose to move the furniture.
    8. Any issues with the furniture would have to be noted within 24 hours of Delivery in an email and with relevant photos attached and sent to: [email protected]
    9. For all Deliveries, our drivers will photograph your items in situ and record this in our Delivery Note. After Delivery please email us at [email protected] which represents an ‘acceptance of goods’ instead of signing a paper Delivery note – again to comply with social distancing.
    10. Balance payments can be paid via credit / debit card over the phone or bank transfer.

    Here at The chaise longue Co we wish to be as helpful to our customers as possible at this time, to fully explain our doorstep Delivery service and Terms and conditions, and give you the option of requesting this service during this difficult time. We hope you understand. If you would prefer Delivery after the lockdown ends, then we are more than happy to accommodate this.

  • According to Public Health England there is no evidence to suggest that the virus can be transmitted from packaging or post.
